It all started with a metro project in Moscow (Russia). The special challenge: for an installation depth of only 20 millimeters, TSL-ESCHA faced the task of developing a LED light strip that optically displays the door system’s status during the opening and closing process over the entire height of the door. TSL thus designed the LS Series door light strips.
The adaptability of these LED light strips is what makes them particularly impressive. Every LS system is a customized solution, as this series is based on the individual installation requirements of different door systems and manufacturers. The advantages for door manufacturers and operators include, for example, intensive discussions during the development phase in order to meet the customer’s requirements. What’s more, the smallest light has a cross-section of only 5 x 15 millimeters. The length and width of the light strips can also be easily adapted, for example, depending on the type of mounting and available installation space.
In addition, TSL’s LS Series door light strips offer passengers greater safety. For example, the movable door elements clearly stand out during the opening and closing process. LS light strips are particularly noticeable when they are mounted close to the closing edge, making is easy for passengers to see whether a door is opening or closing. When used indoors, eye-catching all-round lighting can be used to draw the passengers’ attention to hazards and indicate door status. The light strips are also a special design element, giving rail vehicles a modern and safe look.
