Although TSL-ESCHA’s built-in lights are compact and discreet, everything that matters is visible once they light up. The small built-in spotlights are often found on the exterior and interior door areas and lavatories of trains. The EL Series is characterized in particular by its compact design and easy installation. The built-in lights also impress with their consistent brightness even in case of high voltage fluctuations. Active thermal management offers a long life time of 50,000 operating hours and thus operational reliability over a long period.
EL50 spotlights are the main product in this series. The built-in spotlights have a flat pane and provide focused light with a beam angle of 32 degrees. A variant of the EL50 with a diffuser was developed for a customer-specific project. This produces a soft, diffuse light.
The EL50 series is now extended by two new beam characteristics with clear and diffuse covers. The new 70 degree beam angle illuminates a wet room on the walls much better, for example, as it radiates more broadly. This makes the light even more homogeneous. The second variant with a 70 degree beam angle with diffuse cover radiates the light even more homogeneously. This ensures less glare. This is achieved by means of an inserted diffuse foil. Around 30 percent less light shines through this. That makes the EL50 70°D suitable for use in lavatories and especially for a placement above changing tables or at mirrors.
The ELK also had its origin in a customer project. The project required glare-free lighting for the diaper-changing area in lavatories that would not bedazzle the lying child. The spherical glass pane provides very good spatial illumination. The special frosted glass and the stainless steel front ring also ensure that this built-in light is resistant to external influences.
