The VL55 LED light from TSL-ESCHA is often used in overhead areas of doors in trams and is the ideal combination of signal light and door lighting. This LED lighting was custom-developed for a vehicle’s door cove.
The vehicle’s entrance area is illuminated according to EN 13272-2, with at least 75 lux, without dark fields and in the luminous color of the interior lighting. The VL55 even reaches around 200 lux at a distance of two meters. The LED signal lighting points into the interior of the vehicle, due to warning lights mounted above the door. The idea is to ensure greater safety and comfort.
The color of TSL’s VL55 LED can be tailored to suit customer-specific requirements. Various colors, such as red or orange, can be used to provide passengers with targeted warning information. The light and signal colors can be parameterized.
The LED light in door cove is designed for typical railway requirements, both electronically and mechanically. This includes compliance with the fire protection requirements according to EN 45545-2.
