The Magdeburg Transport Company (MVB) is integrating innovative products from TSL-ESCHA into its next-generation Flexity trams. International vehicle manufacturer Alstom uses advanced lighting and control components developed in the Sauerland region for its vehicles, including several items designed specifically for this project.
Among the new developments are the LSA14 roof edge light, the PL14 occupancy light, and the LBC upper light, all created in close collaboration with the customer. These innovations are complemented by TSL-ESCHA’s proven solutions such as door light strips (LS), door opening push buttons (PK5x), sounders (WM87), LED signal lights (SLE16n), handrail buttons (HSTIB), and indicator lights (ML100).
As part of the MAFELEC TEAM, a network of specialized companies that has established itself as a portfolio provider of solutions for harsh environments, TSL-ESCHA contributes not only its technological expertise but also the strength and resources of a global network.
A total of 35 trams are planned for Magdeburg, with series production scheduled to begin in mid-2025. Delivery of the TSL-ESCHA components will be completed within the next two years.
Through the Flexity Magdeburg project, MAFELEC TEAM, Alstom, and MVB demonstrate how modern rail technology can make public transport more efficient, comfortable, and ready for the future.
